all for me?!

What a day for mail! Not only did I receive a Valentine's package (Corazones Dulces & Sour Patch Kids + note) from my mom, my Magnolia shoes arrived--and so did a package of handmade glass from Vachu! I just have to post about these shoes--they are so lovely, and so easy to walk in, and so so so so pretty and THEY HAVE GOLD SOLES!

I know that is pushing tacky, but there you are.

And the glass is so pretty and I'm excited to use the beads. And, er, I already ate half the candy.

Now please excuse me while I go walk about my apartment in my 3.5" heels.

Gorgeous shoes. Sexy fabric and heels, yet preppy with the little tie thing. Great combo.

I still dream of wearing shoes like that - haven't really stopped since I was about three. But it will always be a fantasy as I have large feet & can't find shoes like that which fit, so have never learned to balance on high heels. I grew out of my Mum's high heels when I was about nine!

Yours are wonderful.

wow! Thanks, all, for the comments! Maybe the stereotype about women & shoes is true.... ;)

I rarely wear heels--too slow for walking, get progressively more uncomfortable as the day goes by--but I do love pretty things and just could pass these up. Now I want to wear them to teach in (ha! there's no way). They're surprisingly comfortable, though.

Your shoes are so cool. I still remember the most beautiful pair of shoes I ever owned. This was years ago...more years than you are old! I found them at a wonderful old shoe store in Minneapolis called Jaffe's, which is no longer in business. My shoes were a buttery soft pale blue kid. Around the opening there were colored flowers of the same soft leather (yellow, green, rose, pink, purple, white) stiched together in a kind of flower chain. Can you believe I didn't save them? Make sure you NEVER give your beautiful shoes away...
